Our Story...

Her Story

I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas with an amazing family in a house full of love and drama. Some of my fondest memories are walking to church every Sunday, performing scenes from our favorite Disney movies, camping in winter, creating scavenger hunts, and just being a kid. It was great having my brother and sisters as permanent playmates growing up.

My Mom and Dad have always supported my enthusiasm for sports and my love for art and anything creative.

It was my love of art that took me to Stephens College where I studied design prior to moving out to NYC. I have been in the fashion industry for the last 5 1/2 years and continue to enjoy my role as an Associate Fashion Designer for Ann Taylor LOFT.

After a year in NYC I was lucky enough to be invited to play in a softball game where I met Brandon for the first time. I was on 2nd base, and he was in center field. (a loss for the Flyballers, a win for the future team Cash-Igyarto!

We both love being outdoors whether it's in or out of the city; white water rafting in Costa Rica, hiking the Tetons in Jackson Hole; or running through Central park. I love that we enjoy and share the same enthusiasm for life and adventure.

"It's the simple and extraordinary moments, the creation of memories, and being true to yourself and the people you love that make life worth living"

His Story

Born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois, I've always been considered a "driven" person.  Growing up in a house with my brother Michael, I always had to try to stay one step ahead of the little brother (not always successfully).  I loved to compete in just about anything, from football to baseball to even the piano.

My parents were always supportive of anything I wanted to pursue, and some of my favorite memories come from late night stage builds or stopping at White Hen after basketball to get a Kayo (gross, I know).

Eventually I made my way to the University of Chicago, studied some economics, met some of the best people you could ever want to meet, and decided to move to New York to take a job at JPMorgan.

One night playing softball I met a fireball in a Razorbacks hat that I just had to get to know a little better.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Today we live in Union Square, equidistant from the subway, her gym (now my gym, not surprisingly), and the bar that carries Bears football on Sundays.  All in all, life couldn't be better.
